Telluride

Meandering down streets of Telluride

From my troubles, trying to hide

With my best friend right at my side

Belonging is really the only place I want to abide

The only place where I will confidently confide

For far too long my true spirit had died

I could locate no home within to reside

That past though; I have to let that slide

For nearly a year, I found myself petrified

With all available detriments I did collide

Did I? … Oh, yeah, I most definitely cried

Always someone with whom I want to get tied

I vote ‘pro’ for the pain and hurt to subside

Straight to me, every day that devil lied

It only requires discovering my spirit guide

Remember: the good way is deep; it is not wide

It’s a shit show – get up on your horse and ride

And whatever space you are in, make sure its occupied
