Dear precious forest, wild wilderness
Press your ear down toward me
Near my feeble feet, that humbly touch your earth
Oh Nature, divine Nature, speak clearly your say
Whisper to me with the words of fate
Tune the flattened sounds of my trodden heart
Nurture and nourish my bitter bound belly
Rebuke the encroachment of my ever-haunting past
Gently, restore and refresh my splintered spirit
Deliver to me wisdom from all your tributaries
Shield me from danger, like the comforting bark of aspen tree
Cover my far-reaching faults with canopies of pure blue sky
Encourage my future with the promises of grasses so green
Infuse me with the ever-flowing life of mountain streams
Engage my mind constantly with unmoving granite truths
Of departing from your shrinking boundaries, I am fully anxious
Without your guidance, I would be one with dust
Become my ever-present reality
Be always my perception
