Go on and tell the future with your vague words
Nothing is ever straightforward
Can I even count on your words?
I’ve been beaten to death
By some meaningless breaths
Saying whatever comes to mind
In your heart somewhere, could you find
The courtesy to mean what you say, and say what you mean.
So nothing remains to be unseen
Days turned to weeks
They went by so fast
Weeks turned to months
I can’t even remember the past
But time is irrelevant
Like the room with an elephant
All too common words have been spoken
“Let’s take it slow” All good chi has been broken
The next step is imminent,
Or more likely in a minute
How do you do? So long. Goodbye!
