(This is an idiomatic-based riddle. Please enter a comment if you have it figured out.)

I am for you
I am in the chain

I run all of your errands
I rush in to where angels fear to tread
I build houses for wise men to live in

I am shamed if you do it twice
I echo my folly
As a dog returns to its own vomit

I and my money are soon parted
But experience is my teacher
I have my gold and
I live in my own paradise

I am not always, but often enough
