Seasonal Transitions

It will be good when I’m gone
I think I’ll be good when I’m gone
Stir it up, shake it down
Move myself along, get myself out of this town

I’m a season, am I spring?
I like summer and what it brings
I look like fall as it ages old
But I feel like winter; I’m always cold

It will be good when I’m gone
I think you’ll be good, once I’m gone
Seasons haunt me toward their end
I always want what I think is around the bend

To endure a season is not all that bad
My brain is trained to recognize the fad
Maybe that is why this didn’t work out
Perhaps that is why you checked into your doubt
